LAC HAS A NEW EMAIL SYSTEM!
On January 31, 2022, all “agmd.org” email addresses will be terminated. In response to this, it was decided that the LAC region would create their own email system at the domain lacagwm.org. Any LAC missionary who would like an account on this domain can use one if they would like. It is not required.
We do ask that all LAC missionaries read through this page and click below to fill out the form and let us know what your intention is.
ADDRESS FORMATTING
All lacagwm.org addresses will be formatted similar to the “agmd.org” email: firstname.lastname@lacagwm.org. For example, John Doe’s email would be john.doe@lacagwm.org.
USE AS A FORWARDING ADDRESS
If you would prefer not to use another account, you can also choose to be configured as a forwarding address. If you select that option on the form, your address will be created, but will instead redirect to your preferred email address. So if John Doe chooses to use john.doe@gmail.com, after letting us know in the form below, messages sent to john.doe@lacagwm.org will be redirected to his personal address.
ALIASES
If you often go by different names or abbreviations (e.g. Matt/Matthew, Dave/David) we can provide you with an alias so that both versions of your name will be delivered to your inbox. Contact support at support@lacagwm.org to get an alias configured.
TRANSFERRING EXISTING EMAIL
The final step of this guide will help you with some guidance about how to copy your existing email over to your new account. Be aware this can be a time-consuming process, depending on how many emails you have.
SECURITY
First and foremost, you should always use a very secure password when setting up your new account. All the features of a high security system are dependent upon you using unique and secure passwords. If you reuse your password among multiple sites and services you place your information at serious risk. It is strongly suggested that you use a secure password managed like 1Password or LastPass.
Once you have a strong password, these accounts can generally be considered secure. However, if you are working in a very sensitive context, it might be a good idea to use a system specifically geared towards those in sensitive situations, like Proton Mail.
AG PASSPORT
Whether you use your lacagwm.org account or any other email address, you need to log in to your AG Passport account and update your email address. After logging in, just click on Update my email address in the left-hand bar.

There are four main steps to getting up and running with your new email address.

- Transfer your email
