AGMD Email Client Setup

The following steps are adapted from HQ’s instructions for setting up AGMD accounts with email client programs. They are not specific to any particular account, so the steps might vary slightly from application to application.

Setting up your new lacagwm.org address first will help you be familiar with the process of adding a new account, though the steps here are slightly different.

1. Open your email client program.

2. Navigate to the Account List or similar menu.

3. Select the option to Add Account.

4. When prompted for the type of account to add, select IMAP.

5. Use the following setings:

   • Email Address: YOUR AGMD EMAIL ADDRESS
   • Password: YOUR AGMD PASSWORD
   • Incoming Server: hqmail.agmd.org
   • Incoming Server Encryption: SSL or TLS
   • Incoming Server Port: 993
   • Incoming Server Password: SAME AS ABOVE
   • Outgoing Server: hqmail.agmd.org
   • Outgoing Server Port: 465
   • Outgoing Server Encryption: SSL or TLS
   • Outgoing Server Password: SAME AS ABOVE

6. Double check your settings then apply.
